Dr. Ulrike Müller-Lisse was born 1971 in Bautzen. She studied medicine at the Universities of Berlin, Dresden, San Francisco (USA) and Munich. Furthermore, she gained international experience through studies abroad, amongst others at the Maternity and Children's Hospital at the University of Bristol (UK) as well as the Department of Radiology of the University of California of San Francisco (USA).

After receiving her physician's license in July 1996 Dr. Müller-Lisse worked as a resident from September 1996 until February 1998 at the Department of Radiology of the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich (Director: Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. Maximilian Reiser, FACR, FRCR). Her professional training as a urologist started in March 1998 at the University of Munich Clinic for Urology (Director: Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. mult. Alfons Hofstetter) and at the Maria-Theresia-Klinik in Munich (Director: Prof. Dr. med. Tomas Hoffmann). Dr. Müller-Lisse was certified as a specialist in urology on July 30, 2003.

Dr. Müller-Lisse gained further experience as attending and senior physician at the University of Munich Clinic for Urology (Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. mult. Alfons Hofstetter, Prof. Dr. med. Christian Stief) covering the whole spectrum of medical & surgical urology from 2003 to 2012. In the years 2009 through 2012 she headed the urologic outpatient department of the clinic (Director: Prof. Dr. med. Christian Stief).

Dr. Müller-Lisse received her doctor's degree on February 27, 1997, for her dissertation "Value of fat signal suppression MRI pulse sequences for diagnosis of malignant tumors in the area of the head-neck".

Dr. Müller-Lisse is author and co-author of numerous scientific papers and book chapters. Her scientific focus lies on tumors and the continuous improvement of imaging techniques in urologic and other diseases.

Dr. Müller-Lisse is member of various clinical and scientific societies, amongst others the German Society of Urology (DGU), the German Cancer Society (DKG), the European Society of Radiology (ESR) and the European Society of Urogenital Radiology (ESUR). A core interest is her participation in the workgroup Urologic Oncology of the German Cancer Society.

As of June 2012 Dr. Müller-Lisse works at the IOZ Munich. She started seeing patients as part of the urologic private practice at the IOZ Munich in January 2014.
